Bought these after being recommended on several YouTube channels. I used cheaper knee pads available at hardware stores, but the knee pads on them were too baggy, causing me to twist my knees too much. This is much, much better as the knee pad is flatter. Wherever you put your knee, it stays there. They're also very unobtrusive, so they won't get in the way if you need to get into a vehicle with them. The AltaLOK closures are great. Most knee pads have straps that simply close with Velcro, causing them to twist and turn when you kneel. AltaLOKs allow the strap to rotate and move with your foot, keeping the strap in place and taut. Slightly disappointed that the buckles on the strap are plastic. The rivets on the pillow are metal and the buckles are plastic, so I'm worried about how long they'll last. I'm sure it's a cost-cutting measure and plastics/polymers have easily supplanted metal in many applications. Still, I would prefer metal. Finally, and this is an observation, not a complaint, the knee pads are side independent: the buckle and rivet are on the right side (when you wear them). . I think that's a good thing because they can produce more per day instead of having separate right and left production lines and one less hassle with their setup. In general I am satisfied.
