ALTA ATA50413 AltaFlex Tactical Knee Pads Black

I have several pairs of these ALTA Tactical Knee Pads and I like them best for everyday use. I always keep a pair in my truck and a second pair in my tool bucket for work. I also keep a pair in my shed for gardening and lawn work and two pairs in the basement for other chores. I have very bad knees, so I have to wear pads whenever I kneel, even if it's just for a few minutes. Compared to other knee pads I've tried in the past, these ALTA knee pads are very light and comfortable enough to wearโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

A bit pricey compared to store bought stuff but worth it.

Bought these after being recommended on several YouTube channels. I used cheaper knee pads available at hardware stores, but the knee pads on them were too baggy, causing me to twist my knees too much. This is much, much better as the knee pad is flatter. Wherever you put your knee, it stays there. They're also very unobtrusive, so they won't get in the way if you need to get into a vehicle with them. The AltaLOK closures are great. Most knee pads have straps that simply close with Velcroโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have opted for a newer model

You get what you pay for

Overall they're well priced and you get what you pay for. I believe the price is reasonable for the quality of the product you will receive. I haven't been able to wear them in the field and rubbed them a bit so I'll update my review accordingly. The actual "camouflage" material on the front of the product is unfortunately not ripstop and doesn't appear to be very durable, similar to a nylon/cotton blend, but I'm not sure. If I were going through dense thickets and thorns I would expect them to

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • There are new competitors
