No, this is normal for automobiles and automotive electronics

I installed this on a 2007 FRT SprinterPro: the sound is ok, there is a software equalizer that works pretty well. Looks beautiful. Out of the box it recognizes the rear camera and headlights (auto-dimming) Cons: The Play Store version is for an odd device, so it's missing a TON of apps (e.g. no Waze). GPS takes about 15-20 minutes locked (GPS is based on Chinese time zone) Google Maps and other map programs randomly crash. Wi-Fi reception is very poor - it detects my phone but cannot connect to my hotspot in the back of the van. Support other Chinese products if it means something to you. Basically I had expected something for the price that was at least tested in the USA. I'm debating whether to just pull it out and send it back, or run my own ROM so I can at least have root so I can fix this thing's obviously rotten design and build.

Pros
  • Dashboard Navigation
Cons
  • Nothing
