a quality whistle, but you can get better ones (and pay more)
A decent whistle. Certainly better than plastic. Pictures look better than the whistles when you get them; this is not a super-high quality whistle, but we're not paying the price for such a whistle either. If I were a ref or a coach, I'd want something more solid and a little bigger (and louder) than this, but will work for most whistling jobs (e.g., teacher at recess, coach in the church league, scoutmaster, etc. -- and certainly for costumes; and probably some coaches will be happy with this).
