I bought a new Dogo Argentino, 6 weeks old, to grow on my 10 acre unfenced backyard lot. Immediately I started teaching him how to break into the house. These dogs are extremely intelligent and in your training you can see them focusing on what you are saying to them. After ten weeks, however, he decided there was a small group of things he wanted to explore on his own. Peter enters. I needed a way to keep him from wandering around. At night, when I let him out, I called him, but he didn't come or left so slowly that it took forever to get to the house. I taught him that when I call and he doesn't show up, a long beep at 50%. If that doesn't work, two electric shocks (making him scream) and he's next to me. Always cheer him up even when he has done something bad. Most other violations were handled by a series of beeps at 100%. Great trainer.
