I started using Mayhew hammer chisels and they impressed me. This one seems to hold the edge pretty well. If you use your air hammer with a chisel, you're trying to force your work and you're getting frustrated. Let's say you can't get a hydraulic fitting to rotate. You take a hammer and this chisel and start working. The edge should be sharp enough to leave room for a bite, and you don't have to sharpen the chisel every time you pick it up. Mayhew is holding up pretty well. In addition, your demolition hammers are often too short. If they're too short, you won't be able to find the best angle for what you're attacking. You also don't want to be miles away from your job. 10 inches is a pretty good overall length.
