Got this to replace an older TomTom horseshoe mount as it was quite chipped and scratched in this Iowa landscape. I am very happy with this new mount as it is less angular (doesn't take up as much dashboard space) but holds up just as well if not better than the original mount. It's a bit flexible, so it tends to take on the uneven surface of the 2007 Ford Taurus dashboard, which isn't perfectly flat. The seal to the suction cup plate is good enough to stay in place as of March of this year. Warning: No unsafe mount like this is completely secure. In the event of an accident, it becomes a projectile. It holds like a washboard during normal driving, even on rough gravel roads, but it does NOT stay in place even in a small crash. Using this mount is a compromise between comfort and safety.
