I used the Eheim Air100 to install a bubbler in my 29 gallon fresh water tank. I was planning on using a long bubbler to create a wall of bubbles, but that was too much combined with the commotion caused by the tank's pump/filter. I ended up using the aerator that came with the Eheim pump and even dampened it with the air control valve. I also turned the air regulator on the pump all the way up, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. A non-return valve etc. is placed in the air hose and the pump is placed on a bath towel on the floor behind the aquarium. I've had the air pump for about a month and am very pleased with how quiet it is.
