I watched a video and decided to make a watercolor with mica pigments. I bought this set because the reviews were great. After reading the reviews of many different micas, I knew I had to expect some adjustment, and there was. But the packaging was much better than expected. Each wide-mouth bottle had an internal seal under the cap. This has prevented horror stories from some other brands. One jar must have had part of the seal torn off, but there was no major leak or anything - a few flakes on top of the inner seal. For my purposes I would say that some of the colors were so similar on black paper that I would consider them duplicates, although they look very different in the glass. I would also like to mention that many metallics work best on colored paper, but many of these colors are so highly pigmented that they also look great on white paper. I am very happy with the result of this project. I ran out of binder before I ran out of pigment. I suspect each jar makes three to four pots and if you use watercolor you know it will last a while. Although I think metallics will probably wear off quicker than regular watercolor pigments. I couldn't be happier and when the time comes I will be buying more.
