I have always been skeptical about these tempered glass screen protectors as they are quite thick and I was concerned that they would interfere when using the touch screen. I've kept my phone's screen intact for almost 4 years, and just before I planned to replace it. I took it out of the case because what could be worse? Of course, it slipped out of my hand and shattered the screen just before the new iPhone was released. Well I took them to hold it together until Apple came out with a new model and for the last month or two it's worked really well. It was easy to install, came clean and didn't bother the phone at all. There are cutouts for camera/mic etc and TouchID buttons, once you line them up it's easy. However, it doesn't cover the entire screen, so I don't know how much it will protect the phone in a fall. To do this you just need to get a good case.
