DELIVERY TIME: I have a 12 year old cat who lost weight quickly because she got sick. I ordered it and it took 2 weeks to get to me. I almost canceled the order but wanted to see how long it would take for it to get to me. I was also very fascinated by the idea of simple dosing. In the meantime I went to the store and bought something else. (Do it!) This product is called Under the Weather. This is for sick, underweight animals. He has to arrive on time. I don't expect him to lose any more weight. At least I have it on hand for future emergencies. But that doesn't mitigate or lessen my frustration. I understand why it isn't sold in stores near me. READ! THIS IS REALLY HARD TO EXPLAIN! I WILL DO ALL FORCE! Look at the corresponding pictures. USE: Choice of dosage makes absolutely no sense. The dial has a step of 10 cu. cm, but the "recommended" dose is from 1½ cc. cm (minimum) up to 3 cu. cm (maximum) per 10 pounds of body weight (Image 3). How low is the RPM to get 1½cc? Nowhere on the tube is it explained how to actually "DIRECT” the dose (see image 2 for instructions). So I googled and found a tutorial video - cool. It says "simply" adjust the dial to your pet's weight. Good? It doesn't make sense since the piston reads cm3, not pounds (pic 3). I look at the other sides of the piston to see if the weight is listed on the other side, no they are all empty. But I'm trying to follow the instructions in the video as it has more information than the packaging! I set it to 10 (his approximate weight) and push the plunger. what comes out 8½ cc Almost 3 times more than I need. Looks like it might be the cc we're installing after all. After pushing the plunger down to the "dose" you reached? You can never go back to that particular dose. because as soon as you press the plunger on a certain number, that option disappears. It is no longer displayed (images 4, 5 and 6). This is NOT the weight you set (as stated in the video)! It is also not an exact copy! (If I set it to 10 one day and 20 the next, do I use 20ml the second day? No.) It's NOTHING except measuring how much you squeeze out of the tube! Think about it. I squeezed out the first 10cc. So what are these numbers REALLY? This is just the total amount dispensed from the tube. Subtraction. RETURN! It would make more sense if they turned the numbers in the opposite direction so you could count off the remainder! 100cc 95cc 90cc etc.! And what's the use? Are you saying it's almost time to change the order? Still better than her! At least they seem to have no idea what they're talking about! ORRRR, when the instructions say put one mark for every 10 pounds (in smaller increments, of course). that could make more sense! It's useless! I really tried to wrap my brain around it. I researched everything. I should not have done that. I won't lie, the idea of getting a dose is the ONLY thing that convinced me. Any other product offers the same benefits, you just have to measure it. Well, as it turns out, you have to measure too! EASY SOLUTION: I ended up getting a small 3ml syringe from the vet. picture 7). Whether it's this product or purchased products, I give him 1ml in the morning with food and 1ml in the evening. If he doesn't eat, I give him an extra 1cc. It smells sweet - like plum juice, not like fish. People who truly believe in what they are buying may think they are using it correctly, but don't realize how inaccurate it is. USE YOUR PROTECTION! I think next time I'll get simple tubes with more precise measuring instructions and dosage information from the pet shop. God. Great idea, terribly put together.
