Review on 🐠 WishLotus Portable Aquarium Filter: Enhance Water Quality with Mini Power Filter for Freshwater and Saltwater Tanks by Melissa Hart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly in 1 gallon jar

I installed a 1 gallon snail and shrimp jar and it was perfect for all purposes. It's small enough to fit nicely in a jar and seems to be doing its job well so far. Normally absorbed. The piece of sponge is smaller than the Fluval suction sponge that I tried to stick a bladder stone in to make a DIY sponge filter, so it was perfect for my needs. I've looked at round bottom filters for aquariums but it seemed to me that instead of this sponge filter they would just trap debris in the gravel which can then easily be washed out if necessary. Apparently, debris sitting in the gravel simply increases ammonia levels. As I write this review, a small shrimp got stuck in the transparent part while spinning in circles. I turned off the pump and it floated back up. I don't know how it happened but I hope it was just an accident. Everything was fine with the shrimp. UPDATE: After another shrimp got stuck in the clear part, I just stuck a Fluval pre-filter sponge on it and that should fix the problem.
