Installed on a Ranger 3.0 and had difficulty reinstalling. After lots of broken joints and cussing I put both parts very close together and found that the oil pump drive was not indexed the same as the factory part, similar but not exact. This difference caused the part to not fully seat when using the alignment tool. I ended up having to knock it down with a rubber mallet to get the oil pump shaft to rotate a bit to align with the synchronizer. Not the biggest discrepancy, but good to know if you install it yourself. Could save you some swearing.
