Review on Fluval A767 Tronic Heater 100W by Jeff Payne

In the past I have had different brands of aquarium immersion heaters all working standard for over 3 years. I figured it was worth paying more for the "more reliable" brand FLUVAL. After 3 weeks of good use it stayed in the 'ON' position all night rather than turning off after reaching the set temperature. It was set at 80 degrees. In the morning I saw real steam coming out of my aquarium. The tank glass felt VERY hot. I couldn't even put my hands in the water to save the fish it was so hot. I used the net to pull out my rooster but my beloved rooster died. I'm really bothered :( I used this heater in a 20 gallon freshwater plant tank. No refund, just disposed of after this incident.
