Works well in a 29 gallon high tank. I hold it at an angle under the filter. Holds the temperature well, but usually needs to be set a degree or two higher than the temperature you actually want. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. A good deal compared to other heaters, adheres well to glass, stays where you put it but easy to move around when needed.

I've had it for a few months or so and it's really great. In the past uncontrolled heaters have almost fried my fish so I had some doubts. mixed reviews got me thinking. But with a good thermometer I can see that it is stable and my fish are happy. form a support during cleaning.

In the past I have had different brands of aquarium immersion heaters all working standard for over 3 years. I figured it was worth paying more for the "more reliable" brand FLUVAL.
