Works well in a 29 gallon high tank. I hold it at an angle under the filter. Holds the temperature well, but usually needs to be set a degree or two higher than the temperature you actually want. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. A good deal compared to other heaters, adheres well to glass, stays where you put it but easy to move around when needed.
