When my previous hair dryer finally gave up after years of good service, I cautiously bought a new one. I decided to do it, mainly because of the very good grades. While it dries my hair (an epic fail if it didn't!), it takes longer than my previous device and doesn't feel as powerful (despite both being 1875W). It is also noticeably heavier than the previous dryer. Also - that's a matter of taste - I keep looking at the two rocker-like temperature/air controls on the handle in the grip area and find them a bit annoying. The idea, of course, was to make the controls easy to use. But the simple 3-position slide switch on my previous hair dryer worked just as well and was easier to use. Too bad the makers of the new dryer couldn't arrange the controls to be just as accessible, leaving the grip on the smooth part of the handle.
