Great easy solution for opening gate latch from both sides. I find this design easier and more reliable than solutions that require you to drill a hole in the rack and pull the latch out with a cable. Compared to typical locking systems, the hardware is thicker and more secure, which I appreciate for my kids slamming gates. You should also be aware that this system is reversible, so it doesn't matter which side of the gate you want to lock on. Some other reviews complain about the lack of instructions. It's true: no instructions are included, but in my opinion they aren't needed unless you want to change direction from the way it runs. But there is a good video on the net about it. Someone also said that the screws provided are not suitable for wood. I'm not sure but I added photos and they worked great for me.
