I have an Epson XP-320. My black ink was gone so I applied new ones. The ink didn't come out very well so I followed the steps suggested in the instructions to do the head alignment. It didn't work, so I went to the next suggestion "head cleaning" three times. It hasn't worked YET. The ink almost didn't come out. They told me to wait 2 hours and try again, which I did. After that, it was still printing mostly spaces. I took it out and noticed that the vent on the new cartridge was on the side, between it and the color cartridges, while the one I took out for replacement had the vent on top where none was. t is hindered by anything else. I took a business card and folded it in half so I could slide it between the cassettes to try and leave some space between them. That way the hole doesn't get clogged and hopefully air gets in. I wanted to print the page and voila, it worked! Black ink prints great. Now I don't know how this is supposed to work when I need to replace other color cartridges and all the holes are on the side. I don't know if I can put something in between and get good airflow. I'll update when I get to this point. And if I have problems I have to lower the rating but for now I'm happy with the purchase even though I figured out how to make it work myself.
