I loved this feeder because of its design. It looked promising, but let me down on one hand. The plastic handle and bolt are very thin and flimsy. I mainly used it as a water cup because my bird poops everywhere without a lid. This mug has a lid that offers protection and does its job very well. During my stay with this mug, not a single drop of poop got into the water. Replacing water is easy. You simply twist the cup off the base and lift it up. Everything worked until today when I changed the water. I put the cup back on, gave it a light squeeze and clicked! The yellow plastic bolt is cracked and unusable. This problem would be solved immediately if they used a metal screw instead of a plastic screw. This thing only lasted two and a half weeks. I've also been very gentle with it. I really liked the design, but they need to replace the plastic screw with a metal screw. Will i buy it again? probably no. If you treat it like a glass of wine I'm sure it will last you longer than me. To prevent this from happening to you, I suggest you use two hands. One to support the plastic base and the other to rotate the mug.
