A great alternative in the kitchen and dining room
When absolutely instant temperature readings are not crucial, this is a great alternative to similar thermometers that cost almost 10 times more. Compare that to my candy thermometer and it doesn't take a split second longer, the pace is the same, and cost wise there's no reason nobody should have a cooking thermometer.
