The last time I needed a new toaster I would have bought it and tried it. I returned a few and kept the toaster which had 4 slices at the time because it browned evenly on both sides of the bread, but the toast took a long time to cook. When this toaster died I checked out Revain and checked the reviews. This toaster had good reviews for the price and I decided to give it a try. Love it, browns evenly and runs faster than my old toaster. I like the little countdown timer so I know how much time is left when I'm in a hurry. The toaster doesn't get any hotter than my old toaster and it still looks good. The price is fair compared to many overpriced toasters that don't even work as well as this one. I've owned this toaster for over a month now. It has wide slots with holders that hold the bread in the slot. 33 years ago my first toaster was basic, with standard plain slots that let you adjust the toast level. This toaster still works! But in newer toasters with wider slots, finding toast evenly and quickly is really difficult. My local stores still carry the same brands that I returned due to poor service. I'm really glad I took the risk of buying this toaster, I hope it lasts a long time because I hate buying toasters lol.
