I bought this to inspect my already cleaned SS handlebar/skeg and bronze prop. There were some very light brown streaks on the rudder where the previous cupped brush (bronzed steel) had recently rubbed through the bronze on the spring bar and was beginning to leave small streaks like steel chalk. Just wanted to fix that extremely nasty surface defect on a pristine undercarriage before applying the antifouling. I say all this to emphasize the incredibly basic and uncomplicated result I got from this particular thing. I would rate this as the LOWEST POSSIBLE EXPECTATION I could have for something that I put on the working end of an angle grinder. I haven't even remotely tested it as a grinding tool. It took maybe 25 minutes to roll on this smooth pristine surface I used it on. couldn't even come close to keeping up with the 30% of the incredibly easy job I bought it for. You could almost watch the brush shrink before your eyes. I've included a photo of me putting this brush back in its packaging so you can see how much was wasted. AFTER 25 MINUTES clean surface. When it came out of the box there was wire all over that space across the remaining bristles. The work remains unfinished. I drove 110 miles each way to get this job done that didn't get done. The money I wasted on the purchase was the least of my issues this item fell short of expectations. Now I have to push myself to find another day to redo all this work. another DAY OF LIFE filmed because some food was half eaten and thrown over the dateline. So why am I wasting precious heartbeats to relive this wretched experience? Because I feel it is important to let others know that it is NOT SAFE based on my experience with grinders for over 4 decades. After wearing this thing in just MINUTES. I went in for a coffee and I started to feel the needles piercing me. I was COVERED by this thing with separate wires sticking out of my clothes. They landed on my skin as I changed my seated position at the table. I PULLED 33 WIRES OUT OF MY CLOTHING AND 2 OUT OF MY NECK. At dinner and on the way home I found more in my hair. I think there were 4 more. Whatever. This self-destruct rate far exceeds any other abrasive tool I've ever used. I was lucky that it was cool outside and I was wearing heavier clothes as only two of them ended up under my skin. I rate my stay at Revain as over 15 years old. probably 20. I couldn't be more convinced that this IS THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER BUYED. Or anywhere. It's not just that it didn't work. I have bought more than enough of these products. Thing is, when this thing failed, it failed dangerously. I won't even look, but I'll bet my boat against yesterday's donut that I know what country this junk was made in. I should have checked. thanks for the lesson
