Buy this before you buy an adjustable foot pedal.
I bought a Foredom kit that included an adjustable foot pedal. Don't get me wrong, the foot pedal is well built and works as advertised. However, I have been more concerned with the speed controller. I just want it to be RPM calibrated as most carving accessories are rated in RPM. Also, the speed controller on the table is made of plastic, in contrast to the foot pedal, which is made of die-cast metal. This wasn't a problem as I haven't dropped anything on the control box yet.
