Good grips BUT...

They flow well and are easy to use. BUT I can't stand all the glitter, metallic, neon and swirly pens! WHY can't I find a set of gel pens with NORMAL colors in a wide range of shades? Searched for 4 years, found only a few basic colors, so none, or maybe only 2 different shades. They are getting very old and all the photos look the same with simple limited colors. I've tried googling a million different possibilities but all I've ever found are these ugly shiny/metallic kits that probably have 4 classic colors...WHY? Really NOBODY can make at least the same shades, but without glitter or ugly metallic? They make the pictures TERRIBLE, and I can't imagine many adult "dyers" wanting to use glitter/metallic/neon/swirl. I trash metallic, neon and useless "swirls" so I don't accidentally use them and ruin what I'm coloring, I've done this too many times and I hate finished photos. The glittery ones are beautiful colors but they look like they were drawn by a 13 year old girl and I don't like the way they look at all. I put them in a separate bag so I don't have to use them and find a kid who loves glitter to give them. From time to time I try to color the "glossy" side, but I never like it when I'm done and I regret it, for wasting this picture. There are sooooo many different shades of "normal”, solid colors, and in each set there is only one pair with a very small number of shades. I bought several different sets hoping to get enough solid colors but they are all the same color. (If anyone needs restless ones I'll be happy to give them to you as they just take up space and I'll never use them after ruining too many photos). I just can't understand why every set of gel pens has to be 98% glitter etc. I can't find anyone that isn't unless it has a tiny set of maybe 2 shades of just a few colors. PLEASE, if anyone with a suggestion to the makers sees this review, could you PLEASE encourage them to make the first and only set of regular colors with different shades and NO shiny or ugly metallics and neon colors? You would think which is a given, but apparently nobody can make ordinary pencils with many shades. Just look at a box of 64 Crayola crayons for inspiration...so many different colors without all the crap that makes them ugly. I'd like to ask if anyone knows if there's a set of normal paints with lots of handles in different shades without the ugly stuff, but they won't let me put an email address here. πŸ˜” to make the first and only set of normal colors with different shades and NO shiny or ugly metallics and neon colors?
