My wife uses this adapter in her car so she can play music from her iPhone through the auxiliary jack that is part of her Honda factory radio. Is this the best adapter on the market? No, not far. "Real" adapters - like real Apple adapters - cost about eight times as much, which I find ridiculous. But in her case, as an adapter that she doesn't have to touch once installed because she just plugs and unplugs the Firewire connection on her phone, it works pretty well - and for a lot less money. Still, she has to replace that adapter every six months or so because one day it suddenly decides it won't work or shuts down or something. But do the math: That's $5 for six months of service, compared to about $40 for a "real" adapter that may (or may not) last a year. Your call.
