This product may work with other computers, but I haven't been able to get it to work with my Raspberry Pi 3b, even after marathon efforts (and I've been working in computer science for decades - I'm not a beginner). I asked for detailed information about the installation, but the following is a typical response I received; The user installed it but didn't mention the steps they took to install it. The manufacturer claims that the driver is on a small CD that comes with the product. There is no other guide than this. I've tried and tried using the so-called drivers on the hard drive to get the RPi-3b to work, but to no avail. My attempts to install anything from that disk failed at every step. So I turned to the internet and a few people have listed the steps for the "proper" installation on their blog. I wonder if they even tried what they wrote. They all listed step-by-step instructions, except that halfway through the instructions, the "make" command couldn't find a file or directory. I've tried all I could find multiple times. Very frustrating. So I'm writing to ask for detailed instructions and links that actually work. Until this happened. So until I get some decent info that actually works on a Raspberry Pi 3b running OEM Raspbian, I'd advise others to stay away from this device if you only have a 5GHz WiFi adapter for your current RPi at 2.4 GHz need .
