Excellent layout and expandability with some features

The layout concept is excellent, since everything bolts to the center pole and all but two sides drop down, it's much easier to assemble and work with other fixed box frame small form factor cases. The modularity/expandability is great too, you can add a lot of extra internal space while keeping the overall footprint pretty small. The size is perfect for an air-cooled setup or mounting a 240mm radiator cooler on top with a large top. On the CPU side, there's plenty of room for a larger air cooler or a medium-sized water pump and reservoir combo. My only complaint about the design is that you pretty much have to disassemble the case to clean it. /maintenance, but at least it's easy and quick to break. The side panels fit into dovetails on the front/back panels and are held in place by either a solid top or bottom, meaning you'll have to pry out a torx screwdriver and disassemble one or the other to remove the side panel. If you don't have a cover, you can leave the screws on the bottom and let the top magnetic dust cover (and gravity) hold the panels, but then be careful not to lift the case by the side panels as these will start to slide out. In terms of fit and finish, it looks sleek and feels very premium - the brushed aluminum is much better at repelling fingerprints than a glossy finish, and the rounded corners look great. Like I said, not quite perfect. Color between panels seems extremely consistent, at least on the black (ash) version, but panel fit shows a slight variance in spec, which isn't a good thing as panel fit tolerances are pretty tight. Overall the panel fits 95% and you never really notice it unless you look very closely, but at this price point I think being a bit picky is justified. The top and bottom are stamped and powder coated. coated steel, not machined aluminum, so they bend a bit and are a bit brittle. I could see them bending if not handled carefully. I had no trouble threading the plate, it looks like it uses steel inserts, which is a good thing because there really aren't a lot of screws holding everything together. .

Cons
  • Damaged
