What I like: Tower is convenient for my use case. Durable and stable. Generous distance between sockets. What could be better: I have no problems. I've used the traditional horizontal power strip along the back of my basement bench for countless years. While this has served me well, it can sometimes be frustrating to get to it and temporarily add something. Also, the one I used didn't have extra USB ports. So, existing usage meant I had multiple USB chargers plugged in. And since the device didn't have a lot of space between outlets, some of the unused outlets were hard to reach due to a nearby wall wart. I've replaced the old, dependable Horizontal Battleaxe Exit Pole with this new one. The first impression is great. I can fill the rear ports with wires from devices that aren't likely to change much, like the focus lamp on the side of my bench. Side-facing outlets are handy for things like chargers and the like. The three front-facing sockets are easy to see and accessible for temporary items like connecting a vacuum cleaner or power tool. The USB ports on the top are also a handy and welcome addition. Now my echo dot drowning out my homemade murmurs with background music, haha, has a new source of energy. wall wart, gone! The old outlet was in a metal case, and this new one is thick plastic. While I don't want to drop this device, I think it will easily take any bumps or bumps that come its way, and I'm pretty sure it can survive a fall to the floor as well. Another nice design is that the outlet spacing is large enough to accommodate transformers without blocking adjacent outlets. This means that the device might be a bit larger than the photos would suggest. In my case, a slight increase in height, allowing for more spacing between outlets, is a bonus. I'm glad I did this update. Five stars.
