Tried stenciling for the first time. I liked the effect I got when making the raised stencil on the large tray. It's very pretty and looks a bit whimsical and cheerful and I love it. I used cornstarch based paint and a water based slurry and worked the icing into a thick icing and used that as the medium. I use chalk paint on my tray that has been softened with some white. Then I use white paint with cornstarch and water for a dandelion effect. It came out very nicely. I love the size of the stencil, it's big, bold and simple. The plastic material wasn't very thin, but not as thick as I would have liked. However I think which is pretty good compared to some things I've seen at craft stores. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this purchase. I recommend it.
