Replaced my family members old gnawed plastic gates with these. I had to use one of the extension cords and decided not to screw it in. I followed the instructions and it seems sturdy. Works well for keeping pets in or out of a given situation. Slightly stiff hole but I had to install it a bit off center, maybe that's why. I wish it had the option to stay open when needed like our other gates but other than that it was perfect.
