I only bought these for top dolby atmos speakers. I thought they would work as these speakers typically cross better at 150kHz so I figured they would all be high. Well I plugged them in and couldn't hear the height effects until I hit them head on. I think that may be because there isn't a separate tweeter to give it a unique and powerful sound. Don't expect any bass from them and personally I would never use them for the main speakers of a surround sound system. Conclusion - I sent them back and ordered something with a separate tweeter and better performance. Of course you need that tweeter, otherwise it won't match the sound of your main speakers and you'll miss out on important effects. I wouldn't entertain them without Atmos. I also didn't want to spend anywhere from a few hundred to close to $500 on something that I felt would have minimal impact on the overall scheme of things - for now.
