Review on MGI SpeedWare 12vDC Neon Lighted Mini Rocker Switches On-Off DPST 5 Pack (Green): Illuminate Your Vehicle with Stylish Ease! by Kevin Singh

They work great, the other reviewers were just clueless.

Ignore reviews that they do not work. This is obviously an operator error. Both sides must have voltage for the light to work. DC kids only if you want the lights to work. Although the switches obviously work fine with AC power. They don't need to be connected to ground like most backlit switches, you just need to apply 2 voltages to the 2 pins that are NOT in the middle, or just move a small jumper from one to the other. Polarity doesn't matter, just run power through both sides and it will glow. It only lights up at 3.4 or so like you would expect a blue led to be, thought it was very bright but once you get to 9v or so and then if you continue to say 36v or so like I did it, the switch becomes very bright. Those are good switches, the blue is very cool. I love the bad reviews from people who just didn't think of using both sides of a 2 pole switch. You seem to have figured out how and when to use these switches correctly. Say you have a 72VE bike and not a 72V light. So connect 12V or whatever your lighting needs on one side and 72V to the controller on the other side or place it directly between the battery and the controller, not at the key switch/ignition switch and that way you can when switching off also change the battery or plug in the charger and don't worry about that wonderful scary arc you get when you plug 72V into your normal BMS port.

Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
