Aside from rubbing against my dog's back in a weird way that kind of mats his fur, this is a decent harness. I have a short-haired dog. The matting though is not fixed by brushing, only a bath. That is enough of an inconvenience to make me reconsider keeping this harness. It happens after less than a week of 2-3 walks a day. It fits well, not too loose or too tight. So I'm not sure why the matting is happening.The selling point for me was mainly the vertical handle on the back, as all the others I looked at had horizontal handles that would be more likely to get caught on things. Technically it could happen either way. Seems like it's made of sturdy, durable materials. With enough padding to look comfortable. My dog doesn't mind it. The stretching is a nice feature but does make me worry more about general wear and tear. So we will have to see how it holds up if we do continue to use it.
