I have a small but adult cat so I bought a small one. Previous harnesses didn't get small enough for my cat to slip out of when scared, so I was pleasantly surprised that this actually tightened enough to make my cat feel safe. She also doesn't seem to fret about it like the other harnesses - very little of the pouting, tumbling, or odd gait I've seen before. I haven't tried taking her outside with a leash yet because it's cold, but I think this harness could really be a keeper.
