Great tool! Will be used as long as I change my own oil

Short version of this review: I love this product. I will use it in my enclave forever. For me this product is 5+. Long Version: I bought this tool because I couldn't remove the oil filter from my wife's Buick Enclave. I've tried many filter wrenches I already have, as well as a couple of filter tongs. It wouldn't move. I was very upset about the situation. Whoever the dealer's tech that installed this thing thought it was a screw, not a filter. It was too long. When I found this while searching for a solution, I asked a question and got a response from Motivx within a few hours. I bought it immediately. I'm incredibly glad I did it. In my enclave, the filter can only be reached with one hand. If you do this, you cannot see. I only have room for a quarter turn or less. I wasn't sure how to get this tool working when I took it out of the box. It works like this: You turn the "wrench" clockwise to spread the jaws just enough to go through the end of the filter, then start the ratchet. With my very limited space in this car, I thought it was going to be difficult. It's not like this. It took me about 5 minutes to figure it out and remove the filter. Attach a wrench to the socket. Move the bushing to the tight (not loose) position. Why? So that I can use my right thumb and keep my jaws fully open without using the ratchet. He dipped his right hand into the small hole, thumb holding his jaw, and slipped it over the filter. Then he released his thumb. I gently moved my hand to the back of the ratchet to change direction (knocking the wrench over twice). Then I was free to start the ratchet. Thing is exciting! And it didn't slip back when I had to reverse once I'd used up my tiny twist by about a quarter turn or less. I've seen many questions asking if it cuts the filter. Well, my filter was really really tight and this key didn't slide (all my other keys did) or dig into the filter. He didn't care that I had partially crumpled the filter earlier when trying to use the filter tongs. My other keys didn't even try to work after I did this. If my description of how I used it didn't make sense, don't worry. It works. I didn't quite get it either until the product arrived and I put it on my ratchet. I could try to make a video to demonstrate this. Speaking of packaging, thanks for the minimal packaging!
