Good idea but poorly made

An endless strap ratchet is just the right strap for many applications. After using one to wrap around a bundle of material, the need arouse to remove the strap and pull more of the strap through the reel to allow further tightening. Much to my surprise, the ratchet would not release. All four of the ratchets ordered had the same problem. After filing the the ratchet release teeth for several minutes, release was accomplished.Unless you want to modify each of the ratchet straps, buy from another manufacturer who hopefully has better design and manufacturing capability.

Pros

I used this to pull back my Acacia Willow preventing the wind taking it down to the ground.

Cons

The cost of the straps may be higher than competing products
