Review on 🏠 Rolife Miniature Dollhouse DIY Workshop Diorama Kit by John Blanco

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Older version of similar sets

I've done several RoLife projects including bedroom, library, gardens and some other explorations. This is the weakest of the set and while the end result is decent I wouldn't pick it again. Unlike other projects, you don't get an instruction booklet, but rather three different giant instruction sheets that come tightly folded. They're awkward and difficult to understand, requiring you to search and search to find the right part. Also, EVERYTHING needs to be painted and cut from a wooden board. Some of the pieces are so tiny - smaller than a tiny fingernail - that they can't be removed from the board without breaking them. The kit comes with six different colors and annoyingly the brown has to be diluted with water or it will ruin the look of the table. Because there are so many tiny details in a plank of wood, you also need to dig around to make sure you've identified the right item for each part of the project. look almost as bright as the promotional photos thanks to the aforementioned stamping and varnishing) and I love that there's no light fixture here, but other than that it's a pass unless you've exhausted the other kits and want some serious ones Testing.
