Much better than cheap brands. Versachalk is a good chalk marker but needs to be pumped up most of the time during use and can sometimes overflow. Arteza markers have a smoother flow and rarely need to be refilled (after the first use), even when writing vertically on the wall. I like Arteza better, but Versa chalk is much more economical, so I have both. Overall this is a good marker and they last anywhere from a year to 18 months before they start drying out (unless you use them all of course).
