I bought these to replace burned out 12v/40w halogen lights in my cooker hood. Everything looked great with one of those LEDs and a (working) halogen! However, with all four LED bulbs in the hood, the LEDs flickered noticeably on the "bright" setting and even more so on the "dim" setting. With three of these LEDs and an old halogen bulb, the flickering is barely noticeable, but buying a couple of plain halogen bulbs and throwing away the LEDs for our hood is enough for me. I've found that some devices (like our range hood) can't handle the reduced power consumption of the LEDs. I was hoping that the "dimmable" heads on these LED bulbs would help make them more stable, but that didn't seem to help in our case.
