The remote works as advertised both on power up and reset. Has good range. Ease of installation. If it wasn't for the next two releases I would have given it 5 stars. [Edit 2] Added star. The remote control did not fail because of a dead battery. Overall I am satisfied that this is a good product. The Y splitter does not work. I can't turn on the PC with the PC power button and I can't reset the settings with the PC's "Reset" button. Tried reconnecting the splitter in a variety of ways. Nothing worked. It seems like it's too easy to fail, but it happened. I tried manually shorting the pins on the switch connector (with the Y disconnected) just to see if the problem was with my computer. Manually closing contacts did not help. Maybe the Y connector itself isn't properly connected? In any case, instructions for connecting the Y-splitter connector were missing. [EDIT 1] Using a third party splitter I connected the SilverStone device and PC power button to the motherboard. Then the PC power button worked and the SilverStone device started to work. This confirms that the SilverStone device splitter on my device is defective. This is not "fatal" for my use case, so I'll leave the SilverStone device unless there are other issues. Also, I see that the battery is dead even if the remote control is not used. Drainage is low. But it may be added in a few days. I don't know how long the battery will last, I just installed it today. Batteries used in this way (ie pressing the power button only takes a few seconds a day) should last a long time. Just take a look. [Edit 2] The battery has worked so far, hence returned one star (now 4 stars).
