Last year (pandemic) I used my 4 packs of PUR MAXION filters. When I installed my newest MAXION I went to Revain.com to order more and to my surprise the polyurethane had changed in the last year. First, it is very difficult to buy polyurethane water filters. Second, they now have three stages of polyurethane filters, which have changed since I last bought them. There is a standard that eliminates the bad taste of water. Then there's apparently Mineral Core, I saw them in a retail store and they were marked "Does not filter microbes". called Mineral Core, but the back of the box confirms my concerns. This is very important to me, because sometimes my rural water can go bad because I can be sure from PUR that the water is filtered for germs. promised, and faster than I expected.
