Let's start by saying this is my sixth pair of thorogood boots, the gen flex 2 wide were my first and most comfortable boot I've ever had, unfortunately they're not water resistant(I work in a freezer @25*, not a lot of water, but still things tend to get wet) and either because of the tread or material they're made from they become slippery. Then I moved on to the crosstrex thinking it was the tread, within two weeks the grey parts of the tread were coming off here and there, I wore them out pretty quickly after that.Now for the Infinity FD's, as I unboxed them and loosened the laces the little piece of the tongue you put the laces through ripped, and even though I got a wide size they felt a little snug, but 16 work days in and I find a chunk of the sole missing(pic) and I don't know how or when exactly this happened, definitely something wrong here. We'll see how they wear or come apart, I don't know if I'll be getting another pair of Thorogoods. Hope this helps.
