Successfully remove stains from color run accident

Classic problem: White shirt (sadly with dark blue stripes) and red faded stains from a sock that somehow got into the washing machine. Of course, I was afraid of blue streaks with a paint stain remover, but it's either a wastebasket or a try. The manual says "hot water" but I wasn't sure about hot water/shrink either. So I filled the sink with warm tap water (about the temperature I would wash a shirt at in a washing machine) and dissolved the contents of one sachet. (- I figured if the temperature of warm water doesn't work, I can always raise the temperature of the water by adding hot water from a kettle.) I hold the shirt by the collar and wet the stain for a very short time ( only seconds) and checked the result. (I would increase the soaking time if needed.) Luckily the stain is gone and the streaks are blue! I rinsed the shirt very thoroughly with warm water, hung it up to dry in the tumble dryer and two days later put it in the washing machine with the other shirts for the normal wash cycle. Now it's like new! - Just two comments: I was able to hold the shirt by the collar when it was wet, otherwise I would have put on gloves because I didn't want to come into contact with the liquid. I didn't feel like inhaling the fumes either, so I opened the window and allowed for good airflow. Last but not least, other reviews mention that the original color can also be faded or faded, so it really depends on the color of the clothes/original color, whether the result is as expected and if you have another alternative. In my case I am very satisfied with the result and I am happy to give all 5 stars!
