Fragile plastic. Mine broke on the first ride. But the customer service is great.
There is a plastic tube in the nylon under the handle. I installed it on a Can Am x3 and the hose snapped on the first ride. The support is still there up to the handle. Now it's just awkward to grab. They were a cheap pen and not much to complain about. I will use the pen anyway. I was contacted by the seller who offered me a free replacement. You couldn't ask for better service.
