Update: I'm actually giving this an additional star. At first it seemed irritating to pull off a paper towel, but now that I got the hang of it this is actually quite nice. It is still more difficult to pluck off a paper towel when the roll gets really low, but it's not too bad. I'm able to do the 1 hand pull most of the time and this holder is pretty sturdy. The adhesive pad is still holding strong too, so that's good.I also like that the arm swivels outward and can be completely swung in the opposite direction. I like to swing the bar out when I'm loading on a new roll.Original This is the second style of this type paper towel holder that I'm trying. So far this one seems to be holding up better than the previous. This is probably due to the more sturdy arm and overall thicker metal.The arm also can pivot from side to side depending on where you want it located.The silicone on the arm helps hold the paper towel roll, so it doesn't want to come off of the end like my other one would sometimes, however; the super-grippy silicone makes the roll not roll as well either. I found I have to use 2 hands (NOT 1, like the description states) to really pull the paper towels off. Getting the paper roll to actually roll, and as the paper towel roll depletes (down to about 1/3 of a roll), it becomes even more difficult to roll the roll on the silicone grip arm. I have to firmly grab each outer corner of the paper towel and give a quick firm tug to get it to roll and hopefully not just tear the actual paper towel.This holder can be installed with the adhesive (included sticky pad) or by screw mount. Note: if using screws to install on underside of cabinets, make sure that the screws are not too long. The included screws are way too long for the underside of my cabinet (we just installed new cabinets and they're pretty standard), so use a thin wood block or some washers to keep the screws spaced enough so that they don't puncture through the bottom of your cabinet shelf.I decided to try the adhesive mount before screw installation. That way if I do like this holder, then eventually I will screw it on with shorter screws that I have.
