I bought this ahead of time to replace the official WiiU charger that was sent to me with a broken one. This charger was physically lighter than the official one, although I didn't put much stock in that at first. When I first started charging my controller it only took a few minutes (less than 15) to charge, after which it overheated significantly and intermittently charged. I noticed that the charging indicator started flashing strangely and that the battery wasn't actually charging. It was on first use. My partner opened it along with the official charger and the interior design is quite different as many components are missing compared to the original. He ended up using this fake as external spares to fix the official one. I have no problem charging my controller with the official charger at the moment, so I know it's not my controller. I wouldn't recommend buying it if you care about your gamepad, just spend the extra money to get a working one.
