Moving to new home with 4 Elongated Low Flow (ELF) toilets with odd shaped gutters. Nothing has clogged in over a year, but when it clogged last week, none of my usual anti-constipation remedies worked. I can usually just put dish soap in the toilet and let it sit overnight and I get enough rush for the power of the new flush to clean it. It didn't work this time so I grabbed my favorite plunger (Oxo) and unfortunately it squirted water all over the place. It wouldn't close no matter how hard I tried. So I came to Amazon and ordered 3 different piston style items. Korky, GT Master Plunger in a beautiful turquoise and finally a Johnny Jolter water pump. Attempted Master Plumber 100; it was a disaster. Major disaster. It has too much air allowance. So if it's not installed properly, which ELF gutters can't do, that forced air has to go somewhere and take all the water that's displaced with it. catastrophic catastrophe. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR ELEVEN TOILETS! Then I tried Korky Performance, which is guaranteed to work on gutters that "look" exactly like mine. Corky ended up spitting water up and out of the toilet from the part of the egg-shaped opening he wasn't covering. It just doesn't work with the sustained low currents in our home, despite the manufacturer's claims. I tried pinching it, tried it at different angles, and no matter how hard I tried, I could still see the uncovered area where the apron was annoyingly inevitable. Never got near a seal. It's a joke. Finally, I tried the Johnny Jolter, which works like a superpower, releasing a large, high-pressure jet of water down the hole. It can also get some water into the air, but as long as it works I don't mind cleaning it. I had to be much cruder than the instructions to clear the clog because doing it as directed just didn't work against this clog. I pushed my nose in as deep as I could, even flipping it so the handle didn't get in the corner, and began pumping the pole repeatedly without removing it from the toilet manhole. After about 12 explosions, it cleared up. I have no idea if the water rush got rid of it or if it was the constant sucking and bouncing of the water movement that caused it. All that matters is that it works. Good luck to ELF owners.
