Doesn't put out as much heat as I was hoping

I like the oscillating feature, but the unit doesn't put out as much heat as I was expecting. It takes a long time to warm up the room. Also louder than I expected. When I first received it it stopped working after a day, but then I tried again before I was about to pack it up to return it and it started working again and has continued to work since - it might have overheated. and turned off, but it seems to me that after cooling it should have turned on automatically. Yes, but I'm not happy.
