Plastic hose chipped on the first day. The item was also used. I spent weeks looking for the right vacuum cleaner and had high hopes for Miele. My old shark took a big hit and is still fine, no chips. Update - I ordered a replacement from Revain and received a new unit. Didn't use it, went straight to the wand to see if the problem came back. Yes, same problem. Update 2: I called Miele customer service and they sent me a new wand with no problem. Pretty simple process. After 2 years of use the vacuum cleaner is holding up well and I would recommend Miele vacuum cleaners. Upgrade to 3 stars. I would be wary of buying it from Revain though (they were ships and sold by Revain, not 3p).
